Cost-effective PoE solution for projects where investors want budget control – with open doors for future upgrade
In the IP intercom segment, we often face the same challenge – investors want a reliable solution without unnecessary initial budget increase. That is why we are introducing, for the first time in our portfolio, the DVC audio indoor unit for IP intercom systems.
This device enables the installation of a complete intercom system via UTP cable and standard PoE power supply. Installation is simple, fast, and adapted to modern network environments, without additional power sources or complex works.
Flexibility that drives confident sales
The greatest advantage of this solution lies in its upgrade capability. The system can initially be installed as audio, and at any time upgraded to video simply by replacing the indoor unit. No infrastructure changes. No additional construction work.
This allows installers to offer a cost-effective entry solution, with a clear path for future upgrades – a sales model that makes decision-making easier for the end investor.
Technical advantages for professional projects
The device supports two-way audio communication with door stations and allows installation of up to six indoor units within the same premises. The system can connect up to 16 IP cameras or door stations, opening opportunities for more complex projects.
The built-in microphone and speaker support noise suppression and echo cancellation, ensuring clear communication even in demanding environments.
Available functions include:
- Do Not Disturb
- Door unlocking
- Volume control
- 4 customizable function buttons
Network connectivity is provided via an RJ45 100 Mbps port, with support for standard protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, RTSP). The device runs on a Linux operating system and supports H.265+, H.265, and H.264 compression in video system upgrades.
Thanks to PoE power supply (IEEE802.3af) and power consumption below 4W, this is an energy-efficient solution, ideal for residential buildings, small commercial facilities, and projects where cost optimization is essential.
App integration
The entire system is fully compatible with the DVC Connect app, providing users with an additional level of control and convenience via mobile devices.
Availability
The new DVC audio IP indoor station will be available in the second quarter of 2026, during spring.
Until then, explore other solutions from the DVC portfolio and prepare your projects for the upcoming season.
For years, DVC has been building a reputation as a reliable and competitive brand in the security and technical solutions segment, and this device represents another step toward more flexible and market-adapted intercom systems.
