Discover why DVC technology is valued worldwide and crucial for meteor tracking!
Did you know that DVC cameras are highly regarded and well-known, not only in everyday use as crucial components of video surveillance, but also have a high reputation in scientific circles?
We are extremely proud that our cameras, through our esteemed partner Istra Stream from Roč, are distributed worldwide and are an indispensable part of the Global Meteor Network, a worldwide network of meteor tracking cameras founded and coordinated by young astrophysicist Dr. Denis Vida from Valpovo, now based in Canada.
Of course, the top-quality “timeline” photographs produced, as well as the software that processes them for scientific purposes, funded by NASA, require significantly more sophisticated, special lenses that are subsequently installed in DVC cameras, making them true space explorers.
The headline photograph is one of many created with the help of DVC technology. The image of the orbit from Hum aimed at the island of Susak is one of the largest records in the world with the number of various meteors. It was created over 24 hours, showing more than 2600 meteors! The horizontal connected points are planes that flew over that part of the sky, and everything else are meteors that mostly burn up upon entering the orbit.
If you haven’t already, find out why DVC is a smart technology that is worth more!
