DVC, since 2003…

Back in 1989, two electrical engineering students, Boris Popović and Branimir Vuković, founded a company in a small garage in the east part of Rijeka, the largest port of the former state and a city, at the time, with numerous factories, companies and facilities that had an increasing need for fire protection, gas, or burglary. Alarm automatika, as it was called by two visionaries, soon became an indispensable company, partner and leader in Croatian, and over the years increasingly in the regional market of technical protection.

Growth and regional development were based on an ever-widening range of products and services offered by the company, but one of the main turning points was the decision to put the best of the CCTV world under the “hood” of its own brand, which, with the acquired reputation of the parent company, will quickly find the way to the end customer.

In 2003, the cartoon “Finding Nemo” was premiered, China sent its astronaut into space for the first time, and Alarm automatika launched the first regional video surveillance and video intercom brand – DVC.

Twenty years later, the little clown fish is still a favorite cartoon character, China has become the world leader in the production of video surveillance and technical protection systems, and DVC (Digital Video Communication) has become the most successful Croatian brand in the world of CCTV and intercom, and one of the leading brands on the regional market with more than half a million DVC equipment and devices sold.

In the past 20 years, video surveillance and video intercom technology has progressed rapidly, and since May 13, 2003, when the first equipment was installed, DVC has been constantly offering the latest technological solutions at competitive prices. Throughout all the years of development, the most reliable components from the world’s leading manufacturers have been chosen, and the reliability and trust that is synonymous with the DVC brand have been recognized by thousands of customers in the Croatian and regional markets with over 11 countries where Alarm automatika operates.

Today, when DVC celebrates its big 20 years of existence, IP cameras are divided into five product lines intended for the different needs of end customers with the most advanced video analytical functions such as object monitoring, perimeter protection and person and vehicle recognition. In addition, the DVC brand offers analog cameras as well as video intercom systems of the latest generation that can be easily and reliably integrated with cameras and electromechanical ramps.

Finally, in its wide range of products, DVC also has servers, a comprehensive solution for video alarm centers that, in combination with client software, can monitor up to 30,000 cameras.

There is no doubt that DVC will follow the development of technology in the years to come and offer it under its own brand at competitive prices. We have shown how much we believe in our brand with a new, extended warranty of up to three years on all video cameras with our brand logo.

Reliable, smart technology that is worth more is the motto that DVC has been writing on the market for 20 years and does not intend to stop but continues to develop further just as successfully because of you, our satisfied customers who have become part of our successful history.

We will continue to cherish the memories, indulge for a moment in the satisfaction achieved but tomorrow we will turn to new challenges and the future. Of course, we will not forget about the celebration, we will share and celebrate together with our long-time companions through various discounts, benefits and special gifts. We will not reveal everything, let some detail remain – a surprise.

Our DVC, happy 20th birthday, we wish you many more successes and anniversaries in the time to come!
